Senior Game Designer - Hill Climb Racing 3
ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED FREE-TO-PLAY GAME DESIGNER?
Fingersoft is best known for the worldwide smash hits Hill Climb Racing and Hill Climb Racing 2, which have accumulated over 2.5 billion installs. Now we are building the next evolution of the franchise — Hill Climb Racing 3 — and we’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to help us create the next long-lasting hit in the series.
We are a bunch of battle-hardened professionals who believe that games are fun, so creating them should be enjoyable too. If owning the overall System and Economy design sounds like an interesting challenge, and you enjoy being the voice of player experience while building great gameplay, you might be the designer we are looking for.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
You will be embedded directly into the HCR3 product team, taking ownership of designing new features using market research tools and data-driven development practices. You will work closely with other designers and design-minded developers to guide the implementation of features, gameplay content, and balancing updates. Maintaining and improving the in-game economy calculators and simulations is something you have prior experience with.
While you will report to the Producer of Hill Climb Racing 3 team, you will work closely with the Lead Designer, who owns the product vision. Guiding your team through your design documentation, visual aids, and prototypes, you work to create a world-class entertainment product.
You are eager to seek information about the game’s players through custom event funnels and cross-team collaboration with Fingersoft’s other departments. Designing more ways to see how players play the game and seeing upticks in the engagement metrics brings you professional satisfaction.
Your Mission:
System and Feature Design: While you can craft detailed documentation and wireframes or mockups of systems and features, you look for the most effective way of communicating design to your team members. You are aware that execution is king, and the best design document is the game itself.
Voice of the User Experience: You are the voice of the players and ensure features and gameplay are executed with great user experience in mind. You listen and contemplate on feedback constantly, questioning your own ideas the most, until you have enough proof that they will work.
Economy Balancing: You have experience from balancing full in-game economies and creating the tools necessary to simulate it to craft enjoyable experiences that serve engagement and monetization needs.
Gameplay Design: You coordinate with a gameplay designer and developers, maintaining a coherent vision in different areas of the gameplay. You participate in scripting and fine-tuning gameplay behaviors as needed in C# in Unity.
You make it happen: If no resources are available for implementing something you think will improve the game or the UX, you do your best to make it happen - be it implementing it yourself or changing the work/design scope for team members that can do it.

WHO YOU ARE
Experienced Game Designer: You have several years of work experience in mobile F2P Game Design. You can pivot between brainstorming gameplay features and estimating the economic impact of adding new daily rewards for the players in a heartbeat.
Generalist With a Passion for Games: You are passionate about creating excellent games and have a background in making games yourself, be it primarily as an artist, animator, or programmer. You are at least an intermediate C# programmer in Unity.
Team Player: You are aware of the role of common game organization departments, such as Player Support, Community Management, Growth Marketing (User Acquisition), etc., and can gather feedback and ideas from them as well as from your team members.
Language Skills: Our primary company language is English.
WHY FINGERSOFT?
Independent Powerhouse: We are 100% privately owned by our founders and employees. With 13 years of sustainable profitability behind us, we have the resources (and the hunger) to chase the next level of growth.
World-Renowned Games: Our games are evergreen and known worldwide, played daily by over 5 million people—you’ll have great power, and great responsibility.
Ownership of Work: You will have the opportunity to make significant decisions and contributions to the game you are making.
Work With Professionals: We employ amazing talent, and you will have the opportunity to work with incredibly smart and skilled people across the organization.
Grow and Help Others Grow: You will be bringing in viewpoints and experience that might not exist in our company, and vice versa. Sharing is caring, so let’s grow together!
Competitive Salary and Perks: We offer a competitive package that aligns with industry trends, as well as great perks like lunch vouchers, comprehensive private health/dental care, gym, a monthly massage, and an annual leisure allowance.
Fun-Loving Atmosphere: Games are fun, and making them should be too. Our vibe is relaxed but professional, and we have loads of common hobbies and activities within the company.
Relocation Support: Full relocation assistance for you and your family if moving to Oulu, including support with paperwork and settling into your new home city.
Ready to race? We’d love to hear from you. Send us your CV and a short note about why this role excites you by April 5th, 2026. As most of the team is based in Oulu, Oulu is the preferred primary location for this role. The start date can be agreed upon flexibly.
