WHAT WE'RE AFTER

We're looking for a senior backend developer to join our Liveops development team in Oulu. The team consists of both the monetization specialists and the software developers, while in your role you will work with both but also with the game developers from the game teams. Liveops team also works closely with the data team, so knowledge of big data engineering is an asset. Ideally, you have been developing server-side components at work for some years. Also, the interest in gaming/game industry is a clear plus but not a necessary requirement for the position.

In this role, you will:

• Be a member of our international platform & Liveops development team
• Participate in developing new features into Fingersoft gaming platform (multiplayer game relay service, matchmaking, metagame engine, cloudsave) and Liveops system (events, seasons, in-game shop)
• Develop and maintain the backend APIs (gRPC, REST) and unit tests
• Maintain the data storages (MongoDB, Redis)
• React and fix errors and issues
• Monitor the Fingersoft backends and keep them healthy and running

What we wish from you:

• You're a talented developer with years of experience making server-side components at work
• You have Golang and NodeJS experience
• You have experience developing for Linux environment using standard tools and open source libraries.
• You're analytical, self-organized and detail-oriented.
